Fluttershy and Danny

"Wow!" Danny stared around at his surroundings, "What is this place?"

"This is Cloudsdale. This is where Rainbow Dash and I grew up," Fluttershy smiled.

Danny looked down at the cloud Fluttershy was standing on, "How come you're not falling through that cloud?"

Fluttershy looked down at her feet, "Oh, all Pegasus ponies can walk on clouds. You can too."

He looked at the fluffy white cloud below. Danny was still trying to get used to flying; he'd only been using his new wings for a couple days, so he wasn't sure if he really could walk on it. He lowered himself clumsily and touched down on the cloud, somewhat shocked that he actually could stand on it.

Fluttershy giggled at his expression, "Come on, I'll show you around," and started walking.

Danny followed close behind, marveling at the structures of clouds that looked like an old Roman city. There were Pegasi everywhere! Some flying, some just walking, going about their day as if this was just everyday normal life. Fluttershy smiled as he gazed in awe at the buildings, being reminded that he'd never seen anything like this before in his world.

"Hey Klutzershy!" a pair of brown male ponies stepped in their path, "Who's your new friend?"

Fluttershy stopped and looked down as she shuffled her hooves, "This is my new friend, Danny, he's new here."

Danny blinked a couple times, then smiled awkwardly, "Hey guys, how's it going?"

"Hmm," the Pegasus scratched his chin and studied him, "Danny? That's a weird name."

"I'm, uh, not from around here," Danny laughed slightly.

"Oh yeah? Where are you from?"

Fluttershy looked at Danny, "Well, he's from, uh, um ... "

"I'm from Amity Park," Danny said, knowing none of the ponies even knew what that was.

The other pony scoffed, "Never heard of it."

"But that's where I'm from. We don't have anything like this. Nobody can walk on clouds, and everyone walks on two legs, not their hands and feet."

"Pfft," he waved his hoof, "You must be foreign, I can't even understand you with your accent."

Danny then remembered that these ponies didn't speak like he did, saying things like 'everypony' and 'hoof' instead of hand. He'd have to get used to saying things like that, even though it just sounded so weird to him.

"Leave him alone," Fluttershy glared at them, then immediately hunched down in shame, "Please?"

The other Pegasus scoffed again, "Whatever, we don't have time for you losers," he and his friend flew away, "See ya later, Klutzershy," and laughed.

Fluttershy ducked her head down in embarrassment. Danny looked at his friend, then grit his teeth with a growl and flew up after the other Pegasi, stopping right in their path, "You'd better apologize to Fluttershy right now."

They laughed, "And who's gonna make us?"

"I will," Danny put his hooves on his hips smugly, then promptly turned upside down. He was still trying to get used to his wings, and couldn't fly like the other Pegasi.

The pair laughed loudly, "You? You can't even fly right."

"No, but I can fight right!" and delivered a roundhouse kick to his face, still upside down.

The bully pony flew back and hit the cloud below, a bit dazed by the blow. His friend looked down at him in shock, then received an uppercut as Danny flew upright. The Pegasus rubbed his chin and glared at Danny, then with a growl tried to tackle him. But Danny was still quick despite not being able to fly well. He grabbed the Pegasus' leg, spun him around and threw him right into his friend, who was still trying to recover.

Danny touched back down on the cloud and kicked his hoof, "No one messes with my friends. So, are you gonna apologize? Or do I have to beat it out of you?"

They looked up at him in shock, then turned to Fluttershy, "S-sorry," they said in unison.

"Good, now get out of my sight before I change my mind."

They whimpered and flew off quickly. Danny walked over toward Fluttershy, a look of triumph across his face.

"Um, thank you Danny, but you didn't have to," she shuffled her hooves again.

"It was nothing," he waved his hoof, "I won't let anyone pick on my friends. Besides, you've looked out for me for a long time, it's about time I look out for you."

Fluttershy blushed, "Well, thank you again," then stood in awkward silence, "Would you like to see the Weather Factory?"

Danny raised an eyebrow, "Weather Factory?"

"Oh yes," she nodded enthusiastically, "That's where we make the clouds and snow and rainbows."

"Hmm," Danny scratched his chin in thought, "Where I come from, the clouds and weather just do stuff on their own, do you really have to make the weather here?"

"Oh yes, it's the job of the Pegasi here," then stopped to stare at him, "Clouds move on their own? Are you sure you don't live in the Everfree Forest?"

Danny laughed, "No, I've never even heard of the 'Everfree Forest', that's just how it works where I'm from."

"Well, why don't I show you how we make them?" Fluttershy started walking.

"Yeah, that sounds cool," he smiled and followed his friend.

My second MLP pic! And I'm really proud of how Fluttershy turned out. Sorry the passage is a bit long, I just wanted to get it all out. I almost rage-quit on the background, but it helps set the mood. And I know I messed up how Cloudsdale looks, but you know what? I freaking drew MLP! This is somewhat inspired by 's upcoming fanfic, which is gonna be awesome! Anyway, this is part of a series of drawings I'm doing of Danny and the mane six, so look forward to the other ones too!
